Skull and Bones Release Date Set for November 8, Gameplay Trailer Out

Skull and Bones will be available on PC, PS5, Luna, Stadia, and Xbox Series S/X.

The release date for Skull and Bones has been set. Ubisoft announced on Thursday, as part of the Ubisoft Forward event, that the upcoming action-adventure game Skull and Bones will be available on November 8 for Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store), and Xbox Series S/X. The game developer also released the official Skull and Bones gameplay trailer to show fans what to expect from its latest offering. The trailer begins with a female character’s voiceover introducing us to the game’s world, stating that this adventure takes place during the “golden age of piracy.”

We are then told what awaits our protagonist as he prepares for a journey where “preparation is the key to success.” Unsurprisingly, the voiceover is accompanied by some intense visuals that are not for the faint of heart. Skull and Bones, based on the trailer, has the potential to be a treat for fans of the adventure genre.

Skull and Bones allows you to play as a rookie pirate attempting to rise from outcast to kingpin through naval conquests. Throughout his journey, he must contend with traitors and menacing foes. Players can play with up to two friends and also choose the PVP format. The Premium Edition of Skull and Bones will include “The Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection,” which includes cosmetic items for both Captain and Ships. This also grants access to two additional missions as well as a Digital Art Book.

Originally announced at E3 2017, Skull and Bones was to be a 2019 release but that didn’t happen as it was pushed back to 2020. The game was further delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An alleged leaked Xbox Store listing had previously revealed the November 8 release date for Skull and Bones. Following this, Ubisoft announced that the gameplay trailer would be revealed at the Ubisoft Forward event on Thursday. Skull and Bones is finally set to release November 8 on Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series S/X.
